Stir together the quinoa, water, and salt in a medium-size saucepan over medium-high heat then bring to a boil.
Place a lid on the pan then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, without removing the lid.
Turn off the heat and allow to sit, still covered, for about 10 more minutes.
Remove the lid and fluff the quinoa with a fork. If theres liquid still in the pan or the quinoa isnt quite cooked then continue to cook on low, while covered, for a few more minutes.
