Sesame Garlic Spinach

Spinach sauteed with garlic then mixed with soy sauce, sesame oil, and toasted sesame seeds.

Sesame Garlic Spinach recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 TBSP peanut oil
  • 2 medium garlic cloves, minced
  • 10 ounces fresh baby spinach
  • 1 TBSP soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes



Directions

  1. Add sesame seeds to a dry wok or large non-stick skillet over medium heat, stirring often, until lightly browned, about 2 minutes. Transfer seeds to a bowl and set aside.

  2. Heat the peanut oil in the pan over medium-high.

  3. Add the garlic to the pan and cook while stirring until fragrant, about 2 seconds.

  4. Add the spinach to the pan, stirring often, until spinach wilts, 2 to 3minutes.

  5. Take off the heat and drain the spinach off any excess liquid. Transfer spinach to a large bowl.

  6. Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and toasted sesame seeds to the spinach and toss to combine.
