INGREDIENTS
1 pound spaghetti
1/4 cup olive oil
2 pounds Roma tomatoes, chopped
3 medium garlic cloves, minced
salt & freshly ground black pepper
1 ounce fresh basil leaves, finely chopped

DIRECTIONS
Cook the spaghetti according to package directions then drain and set aside.
Heat the oil in a Dutch oven or large pot over medium heat.
Add the tomatoes, garlic, 1 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper to the pot and cook, stirring often, for about 4 minutes.
Take the pot off the heat then add the cooked spaghetti to the pot and toss with the tomatoes.
5 Gently stir in the fresh basil then season with salt & pepper to taste.
