Bring a large pot of water to a boil over medium-high heat. Rinse the tomatoes and remove any stems or leaves. Place the tomatoes in the boiling water and cook for 10 minutes.
Transfer the tomatoes from the boiling water to an ice bath and let sit for 5 minutes. Return the water to a boil, if not boiling already. Cook your spaghetti according to package directions and drain.
Take the tomatoes out of the ice bath and gently remove and discard the skins. Dice the tomatoes and place them in a large bowl.
Stir the garlic, basil, olive oil, lemon juice and 1/2 tsp salt in with the tomatoes. Add the cooked spaghetti to the tomato mixture and toss to combine. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
