Whole Wheat Yogurt Biscuits

Tender and hearty biscuits made from whole wheat flour and Greek yogurt.

Whole Wheat Yogurt Biscuits recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour plus a little extra
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 12 ounces plain whole milk Greek yogurt

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  2. In a large bowl mix together the flour, salt, and baking soda.

  3. Stir in the the yogurt until well combined and a shaggy dough is formed.

  4. Sprinkle a little flour onto a baking sheet.

  5. Knead the dough with your hands for a minute or two until the dough comes together.

  6. Roll the dough out into a rectangle roughly 1-inch high.

  7. Use a circle cutter or an upside-down cup thats roughly 3-inches in diameter and cut circles out of the dough and place them onto the baking sheet.

  8. Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 17 minutes.
