Meatloaf Cheeseburgers
Servings: 4
Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
1/2 cup dried breadcrumbs
1/4 cup whole milk
1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork
1 large egg
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
optional toppings: lettuce, pickles, onion, tomato, mayo, etc.
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
2. In a large bowl mix together the breadcrumbs and milk. Set aside for a few minutes to allow the breadcrumbs to soak up the milk.
3. Add the ground beef, ground pork, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl and mix with your hands until well combined.
4. Form the mixture into 4 equal size patties roughly the same diameter as your hamburger buns. Lay the burgers on an ungreased rimmed baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until cooked through.
5. Remove the burgers from the oven and lay a piece of cheese on the top of each burger. Use a thin spatula to remove the burgers from the baking sheet and place them on your hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.
