Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Add the tomatoes, garlic, Parmesan, basil, almonds, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper to a blender or food processor and blend until pureed. Transfer sauce to a bowl and stir in the olive oil. Season with additional salt & pepper if needed.
Add the pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Serve topped with additional Parmesan.
