Mititei (Romanian Sausages)

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup soda water
Directions
1. In a large bowl mix together the beef, pork, garlic, thyme, salt, pepper, coriander, and paprika.
2. In a small bowl dissolve the baking soda in the soda water then mix into the beef mixture.
3. Form the meat mixture into small cylindrical sausage shapes roughly 4-inches long and 1-inch thick. Place the sausages into a container with a lid and refrigerate for 12 hours up to 24 hours.
4. Grill or pan fry sausages over medium-high heat until well browned all around and cooked through, about 10 minutes.
