INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound farfalle pasta
  • 2 ounces fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 ounce freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 medium garlic cloves, peeled
  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper



DIRECTIONS

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions then drain the pasta and set aside.
  2. Put the basil, walnuts, Parmesan, and garlic in a food processor and blend until smooth.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl then stir in the olive oil, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper until well combined.
  4. Put the cooked pasta into the bowl with the pesto sauce and toss to coat.
  5. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
