INGREDIENTS

  • water
  • kosher salt
  • 8 ounces fresh or frozen edamame (soybeans in the pod)



DIRECTIONS

  1. Bring 6 cups of water and 1/2 tsp kosher salt to a boil in a medium-size saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. When water begins to boil add the edamame and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Drain the edamame then sprinkle with a little kosher salt.
  4. To eat just squeeze the beans in your mouth and discard the shell.
