INGREDIENTS
2 pounds russet potatoes, scrubbed and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
salt & freshly ground black pepper
6 TBSP unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup whole milk, warmed

DIRECTIONS
Add the cut potatoes to a large pot and cover at least 2-inches above the potatoes with cold water.
Stir 1 tsp of salt into the pot then bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Reduce the heat to medium and cook the potatoes until fork tender, 10 to 15 minutes.
Drain the potatoes then place them into a large bowl.
Add the butter to the potatoes then pour in the milk.
Use a potato masher to mash the potatoes with the butter and milk, leaving some chunks of potatoes.
Season the potatoes with salt & pepper to taste then gently stir to combine.
